How to send a verse in Messages
- Open the Messages app and start or open a conversation.
- Tap the apps button (the “+” / app drawer icon) next to the text field.
- Choose Sendaverse, pick a category — or tap What are they going through? to start from their situation — choose a verse, then tap Send This Verse.
If you don't see Sendaverse in the app row, tap More and turn Sendaverse on.
Frequently asked questions
My favorites aren't syncing between devices.
Make sure you're signed in to iCloud on both devices (iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud), and that iCloud Drive is enabled. The Settings tab in Sendaverse shows your current iCloud sync status.
Do I need an account?
No. Sendaverse has no login or sign-up. Every feature is available the moment you open the app.
Is my data private?
Yes. There's no account, no ads, and no tracking. Saved verses live in your own iCloud and on your device, and a name you type for a check-in reminder never leaves your phone. The only thing the app sends is anonymous, aggregate verse popularity, plus any verse request you choose to submit. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Which Bible translations does Sendaverse have?
Four: the English Standard Version (ESV), the King James Version (KJV), the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), and the World English Bible (WEB). Switch between them anytime from the menu at the top of the app.
How do I add the verse of the day to my Home Screen?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Sendaverse. On the Lock Screen, touch and hold, tap Customize, and add it from the widget list. The widget shows the translation you've chosen in the app.
What does “Check In Later” do?
It sets a reminder to come back to someone — in two weeks, a month, six months, or on a date you pick. When it arrives, tapping it opens the verse you sent last time with others beside it. Nothing is ever sent automatically, and the name you type stays on your device.
Someone sent me a link to a verse. What is it?
A page on this site showing that verse. If you have Sendaverse installed, the link opens the verse in the app instead.
Does it cost anything?
Sendaverse is free, with no ads. There's an optional tip jar in Settings if you'd like to support it; nothing is locked behind it.
